5.0 out of 5 stars Straightforward sensible read, 20 Sept. 2010

This review is from: Grief in Children, Second Edition: A Handbook for Adults (Paperback)
This is not the kind of book you would describe as difficult to put down, in fact if you need to read it you may well find, like me, that it is a tough read and has to be read in palatable chunks. However it is in technical terms an easy reader, not too full of psycho babble, offering insight and sound principles for tough times. I have used it frequently in the last two years and finally bought my own copy. It is a book that will remain on my book shelf for reference even when my own children move out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful Book, Poor Copy, 24 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a really useful book for anyone supporting grieving children, easy to read and sensible with sections covering different aspects of bereavement e.g. loss of a sibling or a parent. However, I ordered the large print version of this book by mistake and had to send it back as it was the worst copy of any book I had ever seen in my life. I think it was photo-copied as it was all smudged with wonky text on pages and a thin paper cover. So steer clear and get the 2008 2nd Edition

This is a very practical and helpful book. Not burdened by jargon and with some genuinely useful pointers. Recommended for parents and grandparents of bereaved children.
