Bought for an 11 year old girl, who read it straight away and thoroughly enjoyed it. A good, entertaining read. Delivery was excellent.

Great book for Key Stage 2 link with Victorian studies. Good for empathy and comparisons on education, attitudes to dyslexia. At times, you could hear a pin drop when I read it to my Y6 pupils. It's a really enjoyable short read for adults too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Horror and history have them hooked!, 24 Feb 2006
By A Customer
This review is from: Ghost Writer (Paperback)
The ghost is a Victorian schoolboy who comes out of the cupboard at the back of Room 9. He writes a message on the school blackboard, but only one boy, Frankie Ruggles can see it. And Frankie can’t be sure what he’s seeing. He’s dyslexic, so words are a mystery. Does it say GET HER? If so, who is he supposed to get and how? This book is full of characters that my Year Sixes identified with and the suspenseful plot kept them on the edge of their seats. As one of them said, “I would give Ghost Writer 10/10 because it gives me the creeps and is so cool!!!!”

This book, Ghost Writer, and the other Julia Harman books I bought were for my grand-daughter and she is highly delighted with them. The service form the vendor was good as was the packaging and I can reccommend them without hesitation.
