5.0 out of 5 stars The Twelve Tasks Of Flavia Gemina, 20 Feb 2004
This review is from: 06 The Twelve Tasks of Flavia Gemina (The Roman Mysteries) (Paperback)
The twelve tasks of Flavia Gemina was a very interesting and cleverly plotted book.It was very well laid out and it was gripping all the way through. It was kind of romantic, with Marcus and Cartilia having a particular interest in each other.Nubia and Diana both loved Aristo and Lysander loved diana. Also, Flavia loved Felix. I would fully recommend this book as it makes you want to read on all the time. DEFINETELY WORTH ALL ITS 5 STARS!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars the best out of the 6!, 1 July 2003
This book is by far the best book out of the previous 5. The twelve tasks of Flavia Gemina is filled with romance, mystery and suspence, making you keep the book firmly in your hands, never wanting to let go or put it down! Flavia and her three friends Nubia the slave girl, Jonathan the jew and Lupus the mute boy embark on a fantastic adventure to find out whether her father is going to marry an evil woman! The story is filled with drama as the pages go by and whats best is that animals are loose in ostia- Flavia's home town -including a lion and a man eating bird or so they thought!
This book has been written so much more descriptively than the previous five and has a mixed genre such as romance, comedy, history making it an absolute MUST HAVE book!
This book will cheer you up when you are down, it will keep you excited when you are bored and most of all, IT WILL TAKE YOU TO A PLACE WHERE ONLY THE PAST HAS EXPERIENCED AND CANNOT BE EXPERIENCED ANYMORE!
so, dont just sit there! the book is above fantastic! order it now! a must buy for all roman mystery fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars Detective in trouble, 17 Nov 2003
By A Customer
Flavia is in deep trouble of a pink hue.The rich mixture of strong theme, accurate Roman details & atmospherics draw us into her world with its artefacts and Eeeww factor.
We get swept along into the Roman Festival of Saturnalia, the realities of Roman love and marriage and the Myth of the Twelve Labours of Hercules. We meet some old friends and make some new aquaintances. Along the way Flavia and her friends make some extraordinary discoveries and have near death experiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Twelve Tasks of Flavia Gemina, 2 July 2003
By
Paul Nelson (Newmarket, Suffolk United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
The Twelve Tasks of Flavia Gemina is brilliant, rivaling the other books in the series. It is much more romantic, Flavia is bethrothed, and a widow named Cartilia is taking an interest in Captain Geminus. It also contains suspense, death, and nausea as there are escaped lions, camelopards and giant man-eating birds that appeal to boys as well as girls!
This is a masterpiece of Caroline Lawrence's continuing the theme logically and finishing neatly.
