for 20 odd years i have been fumbling my way through painting miniatures, with no real clue to what i was doing, picking up a new technique here or there. I eventually decided enough was enough, after reading a friends white dwarf and seeing a painting guide in there, and decided to get the citadel guide to painting miniatures.
not only does this book give you great examples of what to do and how to do things, it also gives explanations on colour theory and miniature painting composition, the best ways AND the easiest ways to paint. It is not only for those who want 'eavy metal quality miniatures, but also gives great tips so the begginer can get a good looking army fielded in a short amount of time.
If your having trouble with your miniature painting, or just want to improve, this is definately the book for you.
