4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
This book is pretty good for players who can play all the shots but need more tactical advice. If you're losing to players that you feel aren't quite as good as you technically then this book may push you in the right direction mentally and improve your tactical awareness. What can I say? This covers some interesting points with regard to ball placement but is certainly not an extensive guide to the subject of tactics and all it encompasses. This book is pretty good for players who can play all the shots but need more tactical advice. If you're losing to players that you feel aren't quite as good as you technically then this book may push you in the right direction mentally and improve your tactical awareness. For some strange reason there is a section explaining the different ways how a spinning ball bounces from a grippy rubber surface depending on the type of spin. This is not needed because the book is aimed at players that already understand all that. There are also a couple of words that don't translate well. The first one is 'flat' which really should be 'low' and the second is 'slice' which should be 'stroke'. Overall, it is worth buying.

I particularly enjoyed the photos of Timo Boll with blonde hair!
