This pocket guide is very good, extremly portable with all the information that is required in the field. The colour illustrations are sufficiently detailed with identification points clearly shown. It is easy to use with similar looking species grouped together for comparison. My only reservation is that I bought this book after being shown a first edition which was slightly larger in format - but no less portable - and the colour illustrations were of a much greater luminosity that conveyed the 'spirit' of the insects more accurately. However, I have no regrets.
