I love doing crosswords. I don't find these very "quick", but that's a reflection of my ability and not a criticism of the book! A nice size to put in your bag and do while you are on the train or sat in a waiting room.

There are two main benefits of doing crosswords. One is to help keep one's brain exercised and I do think that it works, my short-term memory has definitely improved since I've been puzzling over crosswords regularly...........and what was the other thing? Oh yes, I remember - the satisfaction of competing them without cheating!

But I think Hugh Stephenson is trying to spoil the later by slipping in one clue so difficult that few of us would be able to solve: Do YOU know the proper name for the honey badger, cross-country skiing, the capital of New Jersey, garlic mayonnaise ? See?
