5.0 out of 5 stars Measures and countermeasures in time of war and peace..
The book gives an insight into the activities of signals intelligence during WW2 and in the ensuing Cold War years. The activities of one man’s dedication and enthusiasm have left a lasting legacy, which continues to this day. At a time when eavesdropping and telephone tapping is an ongoing controversial topic, I found this book of particular interest. Not only does...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
For such an expensive book I found it very disappointing, the title indicates it is about Covert Radar and signals, but its just a diary really of a mans life, what he actually did or the equipment he worked on or results are non existant, you are left with still knowing very little about him or his abilities. not worth the money, boring in the extream....

This review is from: Covert Radar and Signals Interception: The Secret Career of Eric Ackermann (Hardcover)
Not only does the book reveal many little-known aspects of signals intelligence, but it also tells a human story. I enjoyed the read very much.

@Mr. Smith, I really can't agree.
You have obviously missed the point of this book. The title and the book description promise a biography (no a diary) and that is what you get. Personally I found the book very interesting and entlightning.
