Review.

This is a mini series of 4 linked audio adventures the synopsis of these story's is as follows.

1)The Traitor.
The Eighth Doctor arrives on Nixyce VII & his secret agenda throws him into conflict with everyone.

Here the Doctor meets an old acquaintance Med-tech Liv Chenka & finds his old enemy the Daleks are using the planets inhabitants as slaves as Chenka who is running a medical care unit trys to take care of the patients who have escaped the onslaught of there Dalek Masters.

Can the Doctor with the help of Liv Chenka foil the Daleks latest scheme of slaving the planet's inhabitants of Nixyce VII?

2)The White Room.
Molly O Sullivan is still trying to help people, Now Molly is back in London staying in Baker Street.

There are dangerous forces manifesting, Were are the young deserters disappearing to? Who are the Huntsmen & what is the mystery of the Blackwell Convalescent Home?

Perhaps the most mysterious enncounter for the Eighth Doctor & Molly is just who is the Surgeon General? as the Doctor has to find out these answers & confront an old enemy.

3)Time's Horizon.
The Doctor & Molly find themselves on the edge of creation but something dangerous is heading back into the known universe from the very end of time.

The crew of Cryo-ship Orpheus including medical officer Liv Chenka, The arrival of the Eighth Doctor & Molly changes everything as a ancient force is on a collision course with Orpheus that could change the destinys of everyone aboard.

4)Eye's Of The Master.
The Doctor, Molly & Liv Chenka arrive on Earth in the 1970's to investigate the Ides Institute yet the timelines have shifted since the Doctor & Molly first travelled here as all is not as it once was.

Dr Sally Armstrong is still working at the Ides Institute but her sinister associate has a devious devastating plan in mind.

Soon, Molly's dark eye's prove to be the centre of a plot to seize control of all life in the universe.

Timelord Thoughts.
This is a brilliant follow up to the original mini series which has it's own story to tell & isn't just a rehash of the original series.

These 4 story's link together as the Eighth Doctor must face 3 of his greatest enemy's The Daleks, The Master & the Eminence.

Paul McGann once again delivers a exceptional enthusiastic performance as the Eighth Doctor brimming with adventure as he reforms with past Companions Molly O Sullivan & Liv Chenka but are they as pleased to see him?

The Daleks seem slightly sinister than in there recent tv adventures & bring the fear factor back in this brilliant audio adventure.

New villian The Eminence are rising up the ranks of becoming a formidable foe for the Doctor & add a genuine threat to there story here.

Then of course we have The Master that is wonderfully played here by Alex MacQueen who brings a sinister yet charming dark humoured tone to his incarnation of the character which play's well againt Paul McGanns more serious portrayal of the Doctor.

This mini series has the benefit of 3 writer's, Nicholas Briggs, Alan Barnes & Matt Fitton which I felt benefited this release as it added different dimensions to the nature & tone of the 4 story's.

Again another set of outstanding production values by Big Finish that's special effects & music enhances the atmosphere to this mini series of audio adventures & helps to heighten the drama.

This is a superb sequel & a great addition to the Dark Eye's mini series range with the downfall being the third series isn't out till November & as this series ends on a huge cliffhanger, November seems to far away to wait this conclusion.

A highly recommended mini series sequel that should appeal to fan's of Doctor Who who enjoy Big Finish audio adventures.

Timelord Rating.

I always thought that Paul McGann was cheated on TV but his audio adventures have made up for that.
Won't spoil things but guess who's back????

Some people think that the 8th Doctor was short lived. When he played the role for the story The Night of the Doctor, he mentions past companions from Big Fishish audios. Here are some more full cast 8th Doctor audio adventures to listen to. It is not a CD-ROM as amazon are saying due to having the product. It follows on from the last box set of 8th Doctor stories. The stories are The Traitor, The White Room, Time's Harizon and Eyes Of The Master. These are a great listen. Alex MacQueen plays The Master in this set and is another name to join the list of actors to have portrayed the role. Please take the time to listen to the trailer at Big Finish Productions.

The eighth Doctor may not have had a lot of time on TV but his adventures on CD have been a lot from Big Finish. Dark Eyes 2 is better than Dark Eyes but I feel at the end a lot is left up in the air. This maybe that dark Eyes 3 may come. But if you are a true fan of Doctor Who then this should be in your collection of CDs. And the Master and the Daleks are also in it.
