3.0 out of 5 stars Not such a Revelation
Although an interesting account of a year (or so) spent in France, by a man who got on with the job in hand, this was not as interesting as I had hoped. However, given Crawford's background, one has to respect the way he dealt with the change in his relative station, and carried his full share of the load of an ordinary soldier.
