I have all three of Spencer Leigh's books on the beatles (the others cover Hamburg and Liverpool periods) and all are excellent. These are books are interesting for anyone that wants to be introduced to the beatles but also fans like myself that have already read many other books on the subject. They are richly illustrated and contain many references to people associated with the fab four. What I particularly liked in this book are quotes from people you wouldn't normally associate with them and what the 'beatles invasion of America' meant to them and what it meant to them. Worth buying and I'd recommend the other titles also.
