An excellent collection of vignettes of 100 test matches. Its not a comprehensive account- there have been more than 2000 test matches played(!) Since England took the field in Melbourne against the Aussies in 1877- and you would need a book the size of a an american fridge to write about all them! The narrative is concise enough, but the authors policy of allowing only one test in a series to be included means several genuinely memorable and in the case of 2005 ashes, iconic tests are eschewed. Still, a very good and well written account to please seasoned watchers (me) and new and casual fans alike. Well worth getting.
