Great update on previous edition of the East Africa lonely planet book. Lots of useful information on hotels and restaurants. Great introduction to East Africa and useful if you plan on visiting 2 countries saving you buying 2 guidebooks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good summary of the area, 17 April 2013

This review is from: Lonely Planet East Africa (Travel Guide) (Paperback)
This is a good general purpose book for the area. We have used it to generally plan our trip, but I know from past experience of these types of books that when we get there, it will be short on detail. At least it has been updated fairly recently, which is important
