Beautiful photos and excellent recipes. I definitely will be visiting Sicily. One small criticism is that the recipes show oven temperatures in electric but do not include gas.

This is an absolutely fabulous book, not only recipes but a travalogue as well. Beautifully written and beautifully illustrated. It makes us want to visit Sicily more than ever.

Being very fond of Sicilian food & cookery I was very pleased to discover this new publication and having ordered it eagerly looked forward to its arrival. When it arrived I was very pleased indeed, more so than originally anticipated. I adore this book and it will now be placed in 'my favorites' selection of Sicilian cookbooks. I have yet to actually try the recipes but I have a deep gut instinct that the recipes will deliver what the text and photos promise. It is a delightful book and I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is contemplating a first trip or holiday to Sicily. It most definitely contains all the classic dishes from this most beautiful island but the photos are superb and really represent just how beautiful this island is. From panoramic views to small photos showing the wonderful way in which pebbles are laid to create interesting paths (go to public gardens and you are guaranteed to see these, and of course, all those wonderful palms). I would very much recommend this book, particularly to those with a specific interest in Sicilia but also to those simply interested in fine food. Grazie a Lei Sig Darling-Gansser!
