recipes are okay and the book itself is attractive but not too inspiring

I always judge the success of a cookery book not on its fancy photography or trendy layout, but on how often I use the recipes after the first try-out. There are quite a few from this book that I use regularly, and I've by no means tried all of them yet, so I reckon that's quite good going. The peri prawns recipe is fantastic and always gets wow comments at dinner parties. Others, like Ludi's Chicken and the lamb and oregano, are ridiculously easy to prepare and really feel-good to eat. I highly recommend the book.

I was lucky to visit London before Christmas this year and even luckier to find this gem at a great bookstore there. this book is not only full of wonderful recipes, but it is also one of the most beautiful cookbooks I have seen. I am almost afraid to cook around it, for fear of splattering its wonderful pages with bacon grease or something. I highly recommend this for anyone who appreiciates food as well as the beauty of it.

This book is a must, the flavours created in some of these recipes are amazing, try both the lamb and potato dishes and the prawns with feta cheese, if you like serving food with the incredible flavours then put these at the top of your list. Guests are impressed with the taste and the presentation.

I got thei book for myself several years ago as glancing at it in the bookshop it looked nice, good photos etc and had interesting recipes.
When I got it home and began to read it it is far more than that! There is a lovely "holiday" stle to her writing, little stories and annicdotes. She shares hr family and memories with you and then the recipes she was raised with.
I have tried many recipes in the book all of which are now firm family favourites.
they vary from the really simple fish casserole, which surprisingly my kids also love, to thai authentic flavoured tom ka gai....
A must for the cookbook lover but also fun to read even if you never cook from it! I LOVE this book and I have loads of cookbooks...100s!
Highly recommended.
Ive since bought more of her titles but this is definately the best by a long way!

I bought this book on the recomendation of someone else. Tessa Kiros has had an interesting life with a diverse culinary influence from various family members. I am also a professional cook and think it's a wonderful book with beautiful pictures and some very nice recipes. Definitely one for the cook book shelf!
