Not bad, but for UK readers there are better books
on 13 June 2014
This is a nice-looking hard back book with excellent illustrations. I think the writer is Swedish and the book is a translation. The recipes are OK, but I have found them to be not quite to my taste - nothing major, but just a little off-key.
The author is clearly a real evangelist about low-carb/high fat living and this enthusiasm does come over in the writing. He talks about some types of foods that I think would be difficult to find in the UK. However, I am sure there are alternative ingredients to be found.
Overall, if you're tired of translating US recipes into metric, and looking for something a bit different, then give it a go. If you are looking for your first low-carb cook book then perhaps you might be better starting somewhere else. I found the Big Book of Low Carb Recipes to be much more usable - and it uses metric measurements too!
