What you really get is issues 47-61 in an older format release. The description on Amazon says it contains issues 39-50. Basically it's linked to the wrong, older product.

It's broken, in a similar manner that Classics UK vol 3 was. Best to wait until somebody flags it up as fixed.

This collection features the classic Underbase Saga as well as other more serious storylines that are darker than the previous volumes. In the Underbase saga in particular, a LOT of deaths - almost as if it were written by Simon Furman himself! Mirage is seemingly killed twice in a couple of issues!!!
Character development is perhaps firstly realised in this volume as well as, of course, advertising new products and devising ways to explain changes made to original characters.
This is also the first of the US classic comic run that features the more facially expressive animation style that was first presented by the UK office and is very much like Marmite - you either love or hate it. It also has quite a bit of the animation that was very prominent in the first 3 volumes.

This collection sees the transition from Bob Budiansky [sp] to Simon Furman. The change in style is noticeable but the story flows through it well. I really enjoyed this. I remember the comic from the first time round and this continuity is probably my favourite.

Nostalgia at a great price and great format. My only issue is the crossover stories with Headmasters. The Headmasters mini series is to be placed in the last volume of this series. I think it would have made more sense to place it in this volume.

This book reprints one of my favourite Transformers story arcs, The Underbase Saga.

I won't ruin it for you but it has a death toll to rival the original movie from 1986!

Also the sight of Jessie in her beach wear doesn't hurt
