5.0 out of 5 stars It leaves you wanting more..., 29 Mar 2001
This review is from: Gleanings in Genesis (Paperback)
A fantastic book that has definitely stood the test of time. Pink has a wonderful style of writing which draws you in, and makes this book hard to put down. He uncovers wonderful treasures which a casual reader of Genesis could easily miss. Pink has an ability to bring the old biblical saints, such as Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and others to life. And not only that, but as normal people like you or I, with all their failures and disobedience. And yet what a lesson to us, that God could, despite this, use them for good, in His eternal plan.
A book you'll find hard to put down!

Good Book, like most of Pink's literature. Not as comprehesive as his work on Exodus or Joshua though!

5.0 out of 5 stars I have not yet had chance to read all of this book but one section really grabbed my attention., 31 Jan 2014

As explained, I have not yet had chance to read all of Pink's book, but there is one part early on which really thrilled me. Prior to being recommended to reading this book, I published my own book "When was Jesus really born?" In my book I state that Day Three in Creation week is all about Jesus and points especially to His resurrection after a period of three days from His death by crucifixion. Three months after my own book was published, to then read that Pink, over sixty years ago, also states that Day Three in Genesis chapter one is all about the resurrection of Jesus, was simply amazing. I look forward to reading the whole of Pink's book. David Hamshire
