Bought the first title 'Things' about 1-2 years ago and then the second volume 'Places' more recently. This is the third and most recent of the series.
Although there are about as many ideas in this volume as there are in the others, the disappointment is that instead of a variety of pictures of a variety of people in different situations, at work, at leisure, at home, on holiday etc,. the photographs are mostly studio-based and concentrate on the same four models throughout. Whilst this may make some sense for the advertising photographer, it also limits its value for photographers as a whole.
As, throughout the series, the photography is good although the small size of many of the pictures does not do them the service they probably deserve. But, as this is an 'ideas' series rather than one of picture books, that can be forgiven. As a whole, the series would make an excellent addition to most photographer's libraries.
This volume does not, in my view, quite match its companion volumes. Good, but could have been better.
