5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, 29 Jan 2013

This review is from: Transformers Animated: The Allspark Almanac, Vol. 2 (Paperback)
Alright, I'll admit I still haven't seen much of this show, regretfully, and yet ti goes without saying that I fully intend to. The Almanac is a very beautiful book, with clear pictures, interesting information, a good layout, and nice little hints here and there in the text. I especially liked the discussion, brief though it may be, on the ideas they had for the fourth season. It would have been epic.
I highly recommend this book and its predecessor to anyone who has seen the series, or intends to and can handle spoilers without going off the handle. ;)

4.0 out of 5 stars My first review: Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac, Vol 2, 19 July 2011
This review is from: Transformers Animated: The Allspark Almanac, Vol. 2 (Paperback)
The Front cover is colourful and eye catching showing Wreck-Gar, Bumblebee and Sari Playing with Transformers Animated toys with Mini Soundwave spying, Wreck-Gar has a Confused expression looking at his own Packaging. When you finally open the book after staring at the cover so long you find more artwork, this time of the main 5 autobots and Sari and than a picture of Optimus Prime in his Cybertronian form looking dynamic as he runs toward the page. You then get to the credits page not much here but it does have a nice backdrop of Cybertron though. The contents page has animation models of a lot of Characters from the show with the contents fittin snuggly around the illustrations. After a few more pictures of Characters and the introduction you get to Chapter one which is informatin on all the Autobots who appeared in Season Three and some who may of appeared in Season 4 (If it ever happened). Then Chapter two is the same as chapter one but this time for the Decepticons of Season 3 & 4. Chapter three are entertaining episode reviews of Season 3 done by one of the characters who appeared in that episode. The rest of the book is Mystery to me as I have not yet finished reading it though after having a quick skim through seems to be the cultures of earth and Cybertron. To finish this review I am really enjoying this book and is a great read, So should you buy this book. I say if you like Transformers Animated get it, If you have the first book get it and if your interested in getting into Animated go for it.

Having enjoyed the first Almanac but been disappointed by the lack of series 3 I was really pleased to pick this one up mostly because this meant the inclusion of the Jet twins!

An accessible book for people of all ages (Look out for Starscream referring to Megatron as a smegger in one of the episode reviews) this Almanac is great fun to read and highly amusing (The aforementioned incident being a highlight!).

A must have for Animated Fans.

For any fan of Transformers Animated this really should be a must-buy book, and there plenty here to entertain fans of the other incarnations of the Robots In Disguise.

This volume deals exclusively with Series 3 and the cancelled Series 4 (Series 1 and 2 are covered in the preceding book), and is crammed to the gills with fun stuff. The start of the book is all the character models that made their debuts in Series 3. Autobots, Decepticons, Humans all covered in depth and with a little bio piece about them. Theres also an episode guide, background images and even a board game of sorts!

The end of the book deals with Series 4 and gives us brief ideas of what would come next, and a look at the production and development of the toyline.

You can't really say much more without spoiling some of the surprises. Just buy it y'hear!
