This is an astonishingly beautiful book. The photographs are perfectly presented in a chronological order. Many of these photos will have been seen before, but as presented here they tell a different tale. Gone are the fleeting glimpses of moments in a life. What we have now is a narrative. Beautiful and simple. But it also shows more clearly Sturges at work, the man who is trusted, who is clearly a friend. Excellent.

An excellent book, which reminds me of Andrew Wyeths series of paintins of one model, helga, a rich and wonderful artisic achievment, and this is of a similar style(except in photography). Misty dawn is beautiful and elegant, and lends herself to the creation of these wonderful images, which are enhanced by the black and white photography. A MUST for real art and photography fans !!

Misty was one of Jock's favorite models, and in this spectacular photography book we follow her from a small child into her later years in full page black and white photos, some of which are highly sought after by collectors. Note, Jock Sturges photos are often quite provocative, including many of these. There are nudes of Misty, some of which are quite controversial. Still, for the lover of the artistry of Jock Sturges, the book is an masterpiece. I found out about the book from seeing it listed in a guide sold on Amazon.com titled The Definitive Guide To Girls In Coming Of Age Movies 2013. It notes movies, but it also lists books from Jock, as well as Sally Mann, Jacques Bourboulon and others. Let me also recommend Jock's famed book The Last Day Of Summer.
