I've been eagerly awaiting volume 3, the conclusion of this series, since I read the first two volumes months ago, especially with the cliffhanger ending of volume 2. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. Volume 3 picks up right where 2 left off, continuing the adventures of Shugo, Rena, and their companions in The World. Some of the mysteries are finally revealed, although in the usual .hack style, some are left unanswered. I especially liked how long this volume was (the main story is about 235 pages long), and since I played the video game series, it was nice to see some characters from it reappear. There is also a really nice bonus section at the end, with a short story about Mireille, called .hack//Rare Hunter, as well as another about Reki, Balmung's assistant. There are also a couple of behind the scenes features, and a picture of all the characters in real life. .hack fans who read and enjoyed the first two volumes of the manga series won't want to miss the conclusion, and those fans who haven't read the manga should definitely check it out.

Finally the last book in the series! We were left on a cliff-hanger in the last book which looked though it would lead to and exciting ending. The ending itself is nice (if a little confusing, you may have to read it twice) but it was a bit of a let down... Everything that happens seemed a little too convenient and that was kind of disappointing. However, this aside I still liked it. The artwork is still great and it is a great story for those dying to find out how it ends and what finally happens to everyone. There is also a great part of the book at the end where you get to see all of the characters in the real world!

.Hack//Legend of the Twilight

A great series of books. If you liked .Hack//Slash (anime) then you'll like this, though this has a lighter tone and looser storyline. It's a good read and thoroughly entertaining, though of course being Manga it won't take you long to read one or more of the books.

Definately worth picking up if you're a fan of the Manga, anime or video games.

The last of the three in the 'the legend of the twilight bracelet' series.
All plans so far have failed and soon it will be time for Zefies mother to be rejoined with her - but how do they do it , the twilight bracelet is no use and they cant get through by normal means time to ask for help.
Excellent conclusion - best to keep the surprises for later.
