This book give fascinating views on the origins and likely causes of illness. However, even if the route cause is known or can be established, eliminating it may be difficult for the individual alone and Obissier often recommends a therapist. How easy it is to find this kind of therapist, I don't know. A very worthwhile read for anyone interested in the origins of illness, but like many books of this kind I think it has suffered slightly in translation from the French. I was irritated by long, poorly constructed sentences with explanations in brackets within them.

I am an Emotional Freedom Technique therapist, and one of the things I like to work with is physical ailments. I would recommend this book to any one who wishes to find out more about how emotional events can affect the physical body. It provides a foundation of knowledge that can lead even the most sick person to wellness.
As the previous reviewer has stated, however, seeking a therapist with the skills to help you will be necessary. In my experience, it takes objectivity and experience to understand how to draw the information out of a client and to then help them to resolve it and heal. Often the root cause for a problem comes as a total surprise to the client... yet when it is 'cleared' the results speak for themselves. One of the best places to look for this kind of therapy is Meta Medicine practitioners who are practising one of the following techniques - EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), or Hypnotherapy. These days, most practitioners will have at least 2 out of three of these disciplines, the best will have all three.
