BearManor Media presents "THE UNKNOWN PETER CUSHING" (Paperback), by Michael G. McGlasson.

The author McGlasson states within the introduction, Without a doubt, Peter Cushing was the quintessential screen villain and hero of horror cinema, due to his remarkable ability to express an entire range of human emotion while in character. But off screen, Peter Cushing was one of the kindest and most compassionate human beings to ever walk the earth, at least in the opinion of the numerous actors and actresses that worked with him over a span of some fifty years.

Peter was also completely devoted to his wife Helen, born Violet Helene Beck in 1905 in St. Petersburg, Russia, and likewise, she was utterly devoted to him. It is beyond any doubt that Peter loved, if not adored his Helen with unbounded passion, much like Kharis, the high priest of Hammer's THE MUMMY whose ancient heart heart was filled with tenderness for the beautiful Princess Ananka.

Very reasonable and a good value for the price --- For product description and editorial review check this out on the Amazon site above my review.

Thank our lucky stars for Ben Ohmart and his staff, BearManor Media, a small press that publishes BIG books. They pride themselves on publishing quality entertainment biographies, so they often put out the first book on unique subjects -- plus specializing in books with nostalgic themes and keeping classic Hollywood alive not only thru his publishing house, but thru his own books.

In closing, author Michael G. McGlasson, unearths several new aspects on this great actor that have never been revealed in such extraordinary depth before, a legacy of which perhaps even Peter himself was not fully aware. Through the tireless and captivating work of Mr. McGlasson, we have been drawn a little closer to the roots of the man we have all come to know through countless stage, television and film appearances.

If you enjoyed this read, check out another by Michael G. McGlasson ~ Lee Van Cleef: Best of the Bad

A must read ~ Highly recommend!
