This is basically a reprint of an article that Alan Moore wrote for a fanzine back in 1985 with an afterword written in 2003. There is also some artwork from Jacen Burrows.
It is a very interesting little essay from Moore but basically it is the type of thing that you can normally read for free. The artwork is pretty throw-away as well.
The advice that he offers is very good as well, even if he disparages it as very basic in his afterword.
He doesn't seem as cynical in this essay as he does now. His comments about hackneyed comic book plots are accurate and amusing.

If you can't get enough of Moore, you need to read this insightful essay. Bear in mind that's essentially what this is; it's not a comprehensive textbook on approaches to writing, but a snapshot of Moore's own view and approach.

If you want to create anything whether it's comic books or any kind of art this is an absolute necessity. It's very rare that a genius on the level of Alan Moore opens up about their creative process and provides genuinely practical and priceless advice on the theory and application of writing so when it happens grab it. This is like if Hitchcock wrote a book on camera work or Picasso wrote a how to guide on color work.

An amazing insight into one of the world's mot renowned comic writers. It's not just a methodical explanation of how he works, it's his views on how one goes through the thought process and how one approaches such a task.
Very inspiring.
With an added plus, it arrived considerably early than expected.
