5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant book on psychoanalytic diagnosis, 2 Jan. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I had fancied this book for awhile but feared it might be a dry read. Far from it! The book offers an understanding but damning critique of the DSM before offering a Freudian/Lacanian method of psychodiagnostics. It is very much a book for clinicians - such as myself - rather than critical theoristsl. The humanity and the constant referral to clinical experience this approach offers is a wonder to behold.

Highly recommended!

The book was delivered very fast and in perfect condition. In terms of context, it is quite difficult to follow and if I wasn't a psychologist, I'm not sure I could comprehend many parts of it. At the same time, it is very intriguing and a great guide into Psychoanalytic theory and its implementation in clinical practice. Amazing read, highly recommended!
