5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Value for a Cheap Price!, 12 Nov 2002
By A Customer
This is a three-volume work, comprising: The Dhammapada, The Upanishads and The Bhagavad Gita. They come in a lovely golden coloured box which looks nice on the shelf. However, the content of each book is excellent, with great introductions and help in understanding these Indian Spiritual classics, that you wouldn't put them on the shelf, you'd keep them at easy reach until you've absorbed these wonderful, glittering gems of Eastern Wisdom.
The aurthor, in his introductions, helps the reader see how these masterpieces fit into daily life. This, along with the texts, makes this collection a worthy piece in your home and your heart.

This review is from: Classics of Indian Spirituality: The Bhagavad Gita, Dhammapada and Upanishads (Paperback)
A beautiful book, well translated and with helpful commentary and introduction. This is a very nice edition of this classic book. I love the opening framing - a huge battle is about to start- and one of the protagonists sits down between two opposing armies to work out what the trouble is.
