It's almost a given that Rall is preaching to the converted; not many conservative republicans or centrist democrats would pick up a book with this title. But Rall does a good job of taking the reader on a tour of how the US two-party electoral system has failed the average American in terms of deceitful wars, poor job security and nonexistent healthcare (and certainly failed the world, when you factor in the unwillingness of any US president to seriously address climate change).
His solution, preparation for armed revolution, seems to be going overboard. Why not just vote for the Green Party instead? That's a serious option to the dominant parties in both the US and UK, but voters have consistently failed to back it in spite of griping endlessly about the meaningless of politics as usual.
