This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide for Dummies: The Fun and Easy Way to Achieve Total Stupidity (Complete Idiot's Guides (Lifestyle Paperback)) (Paperback)
This appears to be the abridged version, and this dumy found it to be far from complete. True dumies come in all shapes, brain sizes, and Idiot Quotients. Sometimes we need explanations about which way to hold the book, how far to hold it from our faces, whether to put on glasses or contacts, cross our eyes or not, and help for reading it in low ambient light, with or without dark glasses, how to turn a page, not to mention audio books for totally blind or illiterate dumies. A complete guide should be published in all languages including Na'vi and Klingon, because international Idoits know no borders, and Borders is no longer in business.

The book also neglects the market for a gilded hardback and/or deluxe edition. The market for fools or dolts is distinct from idoits or dumies, and one of the author being a dolt is no excuse, just as money is really no substitute for a fool's brains.

The forward from Dan Quale was much too difficult for most dumies to read or understand. Dubya or someone who voted for him should probably write the forward for the next edition. On second thought, never mind; wouldn't want to insult the intelligence of the readership, would we?

I will try and get more help from the other series, but frankly, I think it's a lost cause.
