Having to regularly public speak I am very conscious of my issues related to anxiety. In attempting to rectify this I tried to read this book. In summary, it's aweful! After reading half of it I realised that the book had completely the opposite effect to that intended. It had taught me to question my environment, my surroundings and social situations rather than teaching me to become a better public speaker or a more confident person. I've subsequently decided to stop reading it for damage-limitation and I am now seeking an alternative solution to my anxiety, one that really works rather than trying to hook you onto it through scaring you into even greater anxiety
