Paul Little was a prolific writer of erotic literature, covering many aspects of the genre, including erotic punishment, definable as descriptions of punishments of varying severity delivered in dominance/submission scenarios. Some of his output tended to be rather extreme, even for devotees of pain, and 'Tears of the Inquisition' is an example of this tendency. However, the book is well written, dealing with the internal tensions between Church and State during Torquemada's Inquisition, mostly associated with the triumph of low greed and unholy lust over spiritual concerns. It concerns the power of rich men over the beautiful women subjected to their will by the vagaries of current society. The plot is basically simply, but with some interesting twists, and it will certainly be enjoyed by those disposed towards the more extreme reaches of erotic punishment.
