I was under the impression that this was the best piece of literature ever written about civil rights, but it turned out to be an over-exaggeration. Dr. King uses good, powerful rhetoric throughout the essay, but don't expect any thunderbolts from the sky. The booklet has the "I have a dream" speech, which is an added bonus. It also has useful assignments that can be used if you teach it to children.
