This review is from: The Coming of Age of Francoise Cocteau (Blue Moon) (Paperback)
For those unfamiliar with the specialities of the Blue Moon imprint, the clue is in the author's name, and in the knowledge that the setting is a school for recalcitrant girls whose female teachers relentlessly impress their correctional style on the rear parts of their charges. It appears to be a book from the Victorian/Edwardian era. A male doctor and a clergyman impart a rather creepy atmosphere, but otherwise play only minor roles. There is very little affection in the book, but it will nevertheless appeal to some, despite its somewhat wayward proof-reading.
