I really enjoyed this book, it offered an intelligent and different view of the horse through psychology therefore I would also recommend it to horse lovers or to someone who isn't necessarily interested in horses but human behaviour also. It gives case studies and examples of human interaction with horses when humans can be 'damaged or fragile' emotionally which proved to be very interesting reading. The horse does mirror the emotions of the human but also seems to offer sensitivity and healing also , many of the people involved where not afraid to open up to an animal whereas talking with another person could be overwhelming or too difficult for them. I found it interesting too that the horses tended to ignore sociopath's as they have no feelings for anyone else but themselves so offer no interest to a horse, where as the horse is drawn to or reacts strongly to people who have an outpouring of emotions whether in a positive or negative way.
Although intelligently written the book is written in way that is easy to understand (I am not educated in psychology by any means!)therefore made very enjoyable reading.
