1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This looked as though it was a new book by Linda Howard. In fact it is a 1985 harlequin-style romance that bears no resemblance to her more recent work.

I assumed that as it was a hardcover and with an ambiguous title it would be of a similar style to her recent books. In fact it is no better than your average Mills & Boon and at the price it is simply not...

A total disappointment at a very high price.

5.0 out of 5 stars "One of my favorite books", 30 July 2008
This review is from: The Cutting Edge (Paperback)
Linda Howard is argueably the best romantic writer. She is terrific and in my opinion no one beats her in writing books that are romantic, with a great plot and full of suspense and intrigue. I love her Mackenzie series, and would recommend them to readers. This book is a tale of embezzlement and the characters were great. A wonderful read. Brett is an alpha male, very strong, intelligent and quite ruthless. Tessa, the female character is exotic, beautiful, fragile and feminine. I loved their story, but then I love all Linda Howard's books. I am her number one fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars love and trust, 17 Sept. 2003
By A Customer
this is a people book not a thriller book - its not so much about the embezzelemt but about the people involved - first they loved then they doubted the trust only to find if it was real love then that comes with trust
another excellent book by linda
