3.0 out of 5 stars A poor cousin of an excellent literary family, 5 Aug 2003
This review is from: GHOST STORIES OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS (Ghost Stories (Lone Pine)) (Paperback)
For those like myself who thrive on the outstanding volumes of the Ghost Stories series, this tome is a dissapointment. Not withstanbding the evident work that the author put into her research, the sizeable litany of collected stories is far too vague and voluminous to have any impact on the reader. As well, the cross-border feeling between the US and Canada may serve to confuse many buyers, who are unfamiuliar with the Rocky Mountain's overlap between the two countries. While many stories have a lot of promise, the writer would have been better suited to developing fewer, more intense tales, as this collection seems more geared to quantity, rather than quality.
