5.0 out of 5 stars The Wolf of Wall Street
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Could not put it down. Makes you wonder how the Wolf didn't kill himself with all the drugs he was taking.

May now get the DVD when available.

Good read. Would recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Synopsis that is not clear enough to be read in isolation, 9 Feb 2014

No doubt the author is trying to use his own entrepreneurial spirit to ride the crest of a wave of interest around Jordan Belfort. Scorsese's film has brought this criminals exploits to the masses with a terrific film and by default, Belfort, now a motivational speaker is getting a lot of attention.

This book attempts to be a synopsis of Belforts training system, The Straight Line. It claims to cut out the fluff and reveal the core of the training. What it actually is, is a book of notes, often little more than bullet point without explanation of any depth to help the reader understand or apply the teachings.

I'm a sales expert and trainer and this book is poorly written, with glaring spelling errors that shows a lack of detail and thus makes me distrust the writer. There are a lot of good sales books out there that really do teach you techniques. Opt for one of those, this effort is a waste of £2.50, I've been deprived of a decent cup of coffee and I hope my review prevents you from making the same mistake.

As an experienced sales professional and trainer I am always on the lookout for new ideas this book does not contain anything new. It is quite basic and there is no detail.

What a waste of money, the synopsis is very misleading and not detailed enough, upon opening this book it is extremely short and a waste of time, shame

This review is from: Sales & Persuasion Lessons from the Wolf of Wall Street: Jordan Belfort's Secrets for Successful Closing (Paperback)
Was expecting a book, not a couple of pages worth of very basic rubbish. Really not worth the buy, as others have mentioned the synopsis is very misleading. I learnt nothing from this - everything in this book you could probably find on the internet!

The book is ok some good stuff but few examples let it down. Brilliant for people looking into sales techniques but you will need to do a lot more easing to put them into action.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, 22 Aug 2014
All I can say is this is a terrible book, and the author is certainly cashing in on the fame that surrounds the wolf of wallstreet.

1.0 out of 5 stars very short and no substance, 23 Aug 2014

Very short book, didn't get much from it. The start is a bio on Belfort and the end is pages of quotes. Disappointing.
