This review is from: Film Noir Graphics: Where Danger Lives (Paperback)
The prospect of a new (to me) book of film noir graphics was very appealing. Regrettably the book itself failed to live up to expectations. The illustrations are on matt rather than gloss paper, diminishing their impact, and the text is clumsily written and banal, the authors often contenting themselves with describing the poster as if we can't see it. Nowhere on amazon does it state that this is a print-on-demand title as this would have deterred my purchase, since I'm wary of production standards. The three typos on on the Acknowledgments page alone, plus a misaligned illustration and the poorly laid out text, justified my wariness.

It's been said on but the Eddie Muller book is far superior and you can find it at a comparable price by shopping around.

As far as this book is concerned - it came from, and that's where it's going back.
