A very interesting read. I have read many books about NDEs and this is definitely rated at the top. This is a narrative written by John Pontius as he interviewed Spencer, a man that has worked in the LDS Salt Lake Temple for many years and is friends of many Apostles. Spencer has had 3 NDEs and many visions and in this book the whole story is told. I am not sure all of it will come true but what the book has done for me is to give me a more thorough understanding of the spirit world and helping me focus on what really matters most in life.

He talks about how blessings are delivered to us via Angels, which are actually our ancestors. However, if we don't get the Temple work done for our ancestors then we have to wait for an angel to be available to deliver us our blessings. So our guardian angels are actually our ancestors. This is very interesting because I kind of thought this myself and my eldest daughter had been going on about this friend/angel called Rebecca. Just recently while doing our family history we found a Rebecca and as we did the work in the Temple for her we felt her so close.

So I suggest to prayerfully study this book and you find it will bring you closer to Christ.

The mormon version of the Left Behind books, ie the Second Coming of Christ and all the events leading up to it told from the Latter Day Saints point of view. Wether you're a member of that church or not this book certainly gives the reader hope for the future - with the message that no matter how a person suffers or how terrible thing's get in this world, our Heavenly Father and the Saviour are in complete control of it all ! At the end of the book, John Pontius states that he finds nothing in 'Spencer's' acount that goes against Latter Day scriptures. However earlier in the book we have the section with 2 different kinds of evil spirits who visit a man watching internet porn - the 1st are those who fell with Satan and will be forever denied a body, the second are evil people who have lived and have died and are now just looking to recreate their own lustful desires through the living. The only problem with this account is that in the Book of Mormon, Alma the Younger clearly stated to one of his sons that when a person dies, a good person goes to paradise whilst an evil person goes to spirit prison or outer darkness. Nowhere does Alma state that evil people are allowed to hang around on the earth to carry on their evil desires through other people. This is confirmed in the bible in Hebrews, where it states that a person dies then faces judgement. As experienced a Mormon as John Pontius was, how could he miss out on such a contradiction in what Spencer has told him and what the Mormon scriptures tell him - they both can't be right !
This 1 gripe spoiled what is otherwise a glorious vision of hope and faith for everyone, which doesn't overlook all the evil in the world and because of that, Visions of Glory is a superior read.

This book confirms to me so many things I had half understood after reading several other near death experience books. It's frightening but reassuring at the same time - so much evil to expect from conspiring men yet so much love and protection from God as all his plans are fulfilled and his eternal plan comes to fruition. Read this book if you are ready for it.

This amazing book is for everyone who is interested in the future of the earth from a religious Christian point of view, from life in the "pre-existence" right through to the second coming of Jesus Christ and on into the Millennium. It will be more fully understood if you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, but it really is worth buying for the awe-inspiring truth which it tells. Wonderful!
It will help to build a person's testimony and faith in the Saviour and bring to mind what is in store for us in the "latter days" and afterwards!

This is a remarkable book for one striving to prepare to live with The Lord. It has the smooth, fine grained cache of truth from him. It is true, but gives pause to close students of The Lord.

Easter and Christmas LDS and those not dedicated to His study may be surprised, and frightened out of many nights sleep. This is a call to arms for all of us to seriously redouble our studies of Him and the work he has for us.

For those in Salt Lake it also argues for a move up hill away from the flats, away from Point of The Rock, and down off of the benches. It is a truly remarkable read, with equally remarkable unpublished historic visions from Joseph Smith's time on till now.

It was written honestly by a man with no axes to grind. He told things that people may or may not choose to believe, but the focus was on being a humble, obedient Christian, rather than on himself. It gave me lots of things to think about. The hard part was something I needed to understand but I didn't like learning it. We gave this book to several friends for Christmas because we felt it was sufficiently valuable to do so. People can criticize the grammar or other things, but those are peripheral and the account itself is sacred to the man telling the story and I respect that.

I was excited to purchase this book and I had heard a lot of good things about it and on reading the book I was not disappointed. It tells of the second coming of Jesus Christ and what has been predicted and it puts it into a better understanding for those who may not fully understand the scriptures/Bible. I would not want to give too much away from what is written in this book but I would say it is a book that is a must to read. The delivery time was good and the price very good. I would definitely recommend.
