2.0 out of 5 stars Dense!
Way way way too dense! Attempts to cover all sorts of background at the beginning of the book, but states that it won't go into detail because that's not the main focus of the book...which is fair enough, but why then go on to include a substandard attempt at summarising these topics at the start? Either assume the prior knowledge and leave out the explanations, or don't...

This review is from: SDN: Software Defined Networks (Paperback)
This book is a painful read 40 pages in 3 hours and still none the wiser. Too many spelling errors, several examples of ')' but no '('. Lots of references to wiki sites but no insight. Tendancy to waffle about nothing but claims tremendous insight. I suppose you might knife and fork your way through this book if you already understand the subject otherwise like me you will struggle to stay engaged. I am watching pigeons on the lawn as i have found another blinding sentence on pagd 146.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great primer on SDN for network engineers, 4 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is a great book on SDN, written by two real experts in the field.

I'd recommend this to any network engineer or architect who wants to get up to speed on SDN and to get a get a good unbiased overview of the field.
