Crams a lot in and definitely not for the node novice. Requires patience and concentration (I had to read it twice). While the text has everything you need to get a sophisticated application together the written examples require a good understanding of proceeding chapters and their examples. Best used with the downloadable sample code. Don't be afraid to flip back and forward through the book to crack the code, it will be worth it.

Oh my god what an awful book, you get lost on the introduction... The writer probably has knowledge of the technologies involved but... this book is so badly written that 200 pages look like a Game of Thrones book with 1500 pages. Very bad book, stay away, if you want to learn Node I would recommend Professional Node.js

worse than mediocre - it seems rushed and not well thought out. If the author puts some more effort into it and add some screenshots of what he's building that might help explain things. As it is now, I wouldn't recommend the book to a friend.
