This book was recommended by a tutor but in comparison to some other more popular research titles this book is next to useless for a first/second year midwifery student who needs a huge insight into qualitative research - better off with Sara Wickham's Appraising Research Into Childbirth and Nursing Research, Janet Houser's Nursing Research but best of all Steen and...

This book was recommended by a tutor but in comparison to some other more popular research titles this book is next to useless for a first/second year midwifery student who needs a huge insight into qualitative research - better off with Sara Wickham's Appraising Research Into Childbirth and Nursing Research, Janet Houser's Nursing Research but best of all Steen and Roberts' The Handbook of Midwifery Research. The other book is like a personal life experience and view on qualitative research. Waste of time.
