Thanks first to Tom Purdue for writing and compiling this book.It brought back happy memories as I watched the 1968 and 1975 finals when my beloved Glenrothes reached both, winning their only victory in the 2nd against Rutherglen
Glencairn.Another reviewer of this book,Andrew Rae,mentions his team Cambuslang from that same period.I well remember them thrashing the Glens
in 1969 in the quarter-final.
There is a treasure trove for anyone interested in this period of Scottish football.
In the 1950's crowds of up to 77 thousand attended these matches. The junior
game was on a par with their more illustrious senior counterparts! Many of the teams have gone to the wall since then, however some 160 teams enter the Junior Cup each year. One interesting fact from the text of the 1967 game was that the Celtic side that won the European Cup that year,10 had played in Junior
Loads of information and great pics of a lost age.I will pass this book onto my
father who'll remember even more. It's been 40 years,Glens, how about another
final, maybe revenge on Cambuslang or Johnstone Burgh who beat us in 1968.

The book was an interesting and easy read. It was well presented and full of good information for any junior football fan. As a Cambuslang Rangers fan l learned some more facts about our legendary team of the 1960s and 1970s.
