Whatever merit this book should have had is badly tarnished by the apparent absence of the mp3 support it claims to offer.

To mark the front cover with a bold promotional claim to include “FREE AUDIO DOWNLOAD”, only to fail to inform the reader as to the source of this download (assuming any such mp3 files actually exist) must surely amount to an offence under the Trade Descriptions Act.

This lack of professionalism must cast doubt on the reliability of the entire work.

This is a slim book, with actually about 54 or 55 sections (some a and b) which goes into a bit more detail about various aspects of German language. It's written in a fairly relaxed and even jocular manner which is admittedly rather easy to follow and understand.

Each section has two relatively wide spaced pages and I was able to whizz through the book in 4 nights at around an hour or so a go, so it's an easy read. It would probably be a useful guide to refer to now and again and I suppose brings together a number of oddities and confusions in one compact and concise book.

I don't regret buying it at Amazon's cheaper price, but don't think it's worth the full cover price given the limited amount of content. I'd have preferred it to have been published in a pocket-sized book half the size with more words per page.

Useful for both beginners, and also those who are more proficient in German, this guide, although small in size, contains all the necessary points of grammar and advice to progress and improve one's grasp of the language. Equally it makes an extremely valuable revision aid.

Concise and convenient, this language learners' friend enables you to locate the exact snippet of information you need quickly and painlessly.

Furthermore, what a delight to have all this information easily accessible, thereby precluding the need to trawl through a weighty tome on grammar everytime!

If only I'd had this book years ago!

This book is really fantastic at sorting out many of the problems and pitfalls experienced when learning German.
It is not however, for the complete beginner...some basic vocabulary and grammer would be needed before attempting to learn most of the stuff in here...definately recommended tho!!

On the kindle Fire the wrong examples looked like the correct ones. It's a pity. I have found it a very useful little book. Have used since starting German.

This is good for some quick revision and just to read on the bus or even in the bath. It'll help you to realise different ways to learn.

Really useful reference. I think she's right to give herself a 5 star rating and probably ought to get another one for the chutzpah.

An outstanding book which makes learning German easy. Written in a witty and totally accessible style, it assumes nothing and explains everything. It certainly refutes the notion that the Germans have no sense of humour! I loved it and would even go so far as to recommend it for the bedside table. An absolute must for anyone either starting out on learning German or seeking to refresh. Brilliant!
