As someone who has practised many different styles of yoga over the years, gone through various yoga teacher training, including Uma's pregnancy yoga, I have to say this book is invaluable both to prenatal yoga teachers and students wanting guidance during their pregnancy and labour. Creating and maintaining balance in the body is essential during pregnancy, don't wait until pelvic pain or lower back pain develops because by then the patterns of bad habits have developed.
If you are a regular yoga student attending classes prior to pregnancy your greatest challenge is to let go of your practice, the deep twists, inversions, fancy arm balances will still be there post-natally. Use this precious time to create the right mindset and breathing for your labour. Uma is a wonderfully gifted teacher so check out her other book "Mothers breath". Enjoy
