An extremely important book describing the importance of energy in all aspects of human activity. The book is accessible to a technical expert, academic or anyone with a basic High School education who has an interest in energy related issues. It is in my opinion a work of genius in that is explains complex ideas and theories in the simplist possible terms which force the reader to view the world and how it works in a fundamentally new way. It is truly enlightening.

I had previously given this book a poor review, but I decided to sit down and re-read it after the author accused me of slander.
This is the third book in the trilogy, so best to read the first two.
The first book "What Malthus Said" explores how civilisation collapsed into a thousand year dark age following the global famine foretold by Malthus.
The second book "What Marx Said" explores how capitalism collapsed into a thousand year dark age following the global revolution as foretold by Marx.
This book tells us that we have all been bad. We shall be punished. And once again civilisation will collapse.
If you like end-cults, you'll love this book!!
