5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting and entertaining, educational book.
I think most points were both clearly, and accurately presented. Few people get this information already when they are young.

Many points to understand the present are held in such interesting work conerning the past.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment - more like 101 Facts
The title is very misleading.
The majority of the facts have a very tenuous link to Muslim Civilization - if any link at all.
Some 'awesome facts from Muslim Civilization' include:

The title is very misleading.
The majority of the facts have a very tenuous link to Muslim Civilization - if any link at all.
Some 'awesome facts from Muslim Civilization' include:
Henna which is antibacterial is used to treat rashes
In 2011 a woman in India set a world record by decorating 170 hands with henna in 24 hrs
Chess developed more than a thousand years ago - we dont know if it began in India or Persia
The rules of chess have not changed for nearly 500 years
Two German men set a record in 2010 for the worlds longest chess game...
Human eyes can take upto an hour to adjust to the night sky.

The above examples are just from 3 of the 95 pages. The whole book padded out with a huge number of the above type of facts which have absolutely nothing to do with Islamic Civilization.

I was seriously considering sending it back under the sales of goods act for misrepresentation. However, my son seemed to like reading it - mostly as a general knowledge fact book - and I didn't want the hassle of returning, so kept it.

I was expecting contents to be more clear but turned out enough credit is not given to the pioneers of Muslim era. I thought minimal amount of credit is given where a lot more was deserved. Overall average attempt I'd say.
