This review is from: Information Technology Project Management, ISE (Paperback)
I have used this book extensively for a range of project assessments and developemnt of the PMBok principes. It is focusssed and gives complete guidence to the 9 principles. Each setion has great case studies that reveal how to implement the principles, the pitfalls that need to be cicumvented and guidence on how best to ecourage project team to meet the goals. As a strength of this book, Schwalbe presents the project processes as key to the delivery of a product. Being very focussed on the waterfall method in exclusion of other methods, such as iterative project management helps focus the book to convey helps to focus the reader on the essenntials that are required to develop the project. It is a resource that will live for a long time on my bookshelf.
