5.0 out of 5 stars Sunrise Alley, 21 Oct 2007

This is a really well written story. The struggle to come to terms with what it is that might make us human is coherent and sensitive. I found the book both entertaining and thought-provoking. Im not sure that the hard science of creating artificial intelligence is even within our grasp, but Asaro's representation of it certainly makes me wish it were. The book was hard to put down and I was quick to finish it. It left me thirsty for more. If you like science in your science fiction and want to explore one of our possible futures, then this book is for you too.

Asaro provides a good read at her usual interesting and scientific best with a little bit of romance thrown it that doesn't detract,
