5.0 out of 5 stars Choc a bloc with interesting information, beautifully illustrated
This is a lovely-to-handle, full colour, 243-page compact guide (135 x 165cm) to gardens formal and informal -- a joy to thumb through. One topic per full-page spread, five-page glossary, resource page and a four-page index are very useful for retrieving information later. 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully Concise, 4 Dec. 2011
This review is from: How to Read Gardens: A Crash Course in Garden Appreciation (Paperback)
It's a fascinating, easy to read book - great for building a base knowledge of gardens and their architectural devices. Beautifully illustrated and surprisingly comprehensive for it's size (135x165mm). Would make an ideal gift for anyone interested in gardens and gardening - not just architects and landscape designers.
